Planning Your Fibreglass Pool On The Sunshine Coast

Good pool planning starts with the property itself. Available backyard space, access for construction, the position of the pool, drainage, landscaping and the characteristics of the site can all influence the final design. This can be particularly important across the Sunshine Coast, where properties can range from relatively level coastal and suburban blocks to elevated and sloping sites further inland.

Choosing The Right Pool Builder

Your pool builder should understand both the pool you’re choosing and the property it is being installed into. Our authorised Sunshine Coast dealers can assess your site, discuss suitable pool sizes and guide you through the steps involved before installation begins.

Every finished pool begins with the shell itself. Our multi-layer fibreglass construction brings together structural reinforcement, protective layers and the interior finish to create a pool designed for strength and long-term performance. See how the complete system is put together on our pool construction layers page.

New swimming pools and spas on the Sunshine Coast require building certification before construction begins. Queensland pool safety requirements also apply. Regulated pools must have a compliant safety barrier and be included on the Queensland pool safety register. Your authorised dealer and building certifier can help guide you through the requirements that apply to your property before installation gets underway.

A fibreglass pool is designed to remain part of your home for many years, making warranty protection and reliable support important considerations. The Fibreglass Pool Company pool shells are backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty, with an optional Lifetime Internal Warranty also available. Your authorised dealer can explain the warranty coverage applicable to your chosen pool and provide ongoing support throughout your pool ownership journey.

Fibreglass Pools Sunshine Coast – Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose a fibreglass pool for a Sunshine Coast home?

Fibreglass pools provide plenty of design choice while offering a smooth swimming surface and straightforward ongoing maintenance. With smaller, slimline, family and larger designs available, homeowners can select a pool based on their property, available outdoor space and how they intend to use the backyard.

Yes. The Sunshine Coast experiences warm summers and mild winters, making outdoor swimming and entertaining a natural part of the local lifestyle. A fibreglass pool gives you somewhere to cool off during warmer weather, while pool heating can also be considered if you’d like to extend your comfortable swimming season.

Start with the usable area of your backyard rather than simply choosing a pool based on its length. Think about property access, pool position, existing landscaping, entertaining areas, safety fencing and how much space you want to keep around the pool once installation is complete. You can explore our small pools, medium pools and large pools to compare different dimensions.

Our range includes compact pools, slimline designs, family swimming pools, lap pools, larger pools and integrated pool-and-spa options. Browse the complete fibreglass pool range to compare the different shapes, sizes and layouts available.

Yes. You don’t necessarily need a large backyard to enjoy a swimming pool. Our smaller, slimline and plunge pool designs can work with more compact outdoor spaces while leaving room for landscaping, entertaining and other backyard features. Explore our small fibreglass pools or visit our dedicated Plunge Pools Sunshine Coast page to compare compact options.
