One of Australia's most trusted pool builders
Everything started and was completed as per the schedule(weather permittng) and the staff were on the ball with the process and completion dates. The pool is fantastic, the company made sure the clean up was done properly and the handover was seamless. We had a great instructional afternoon with the companies rep on how to set up and run the filter and associated tasks.
My wife and I would like to thank the Fibreglass Pool Company for following through on what they promised and we have no hesitation in recommending the company to anyone thinking about purchasing a pool.
Very happy with the end result and our Hamilton 7.5x3.6m pool.

Frequently Asked Questions
There are numerous factors that can contribute to the overall cost of your pool.
The cost of a fibreglass pool generally ranges from $20,000 to $40,000, depending on factors such as the size of the pool, the design, and any additional features like heating, lighting, or water features.
It’s important to note that prices can vary based on your location and specific installation requirements. For a more accurate quote based on your needs, we recommend contacting our team directly for a tailored estimate.
Fibreglass pools offer several key advantages over other pool types, such as concrete and vinyl liner pools:
Faster Installation: Fibreglass pools are pre-molded and can be installed in just a few weeks, while concrete pools can take months to build.
Low Maintenance: The smooth surface of fibreglass resists algae growth and is much easier to maintain compared to the porous surface of concrete pools.
Durability: Fibreglass pools are highly resistant to cracking and damage, ensuring a long lifespan. The material is also less likely to suffer from issues like rust or corrosion.
Energy Efficiency: Fibreglass pools tend to retain heat better than concrete, potentially saving on heating costs. Plus, they are more energy-efficient when paired with heating options like solar or heat pumps.
For a more detailed comparison of fibreglass versus other types of pools, visit our fibreglass vs. concrete page.
A fibreglass pool is a pre-molded, durable pool that is made from fibreglass-reinforced plastic. The pool shell is manufactured in a factory and then transported and installed in your backyard.
Fibreglass pools have a smooth surface that resists algae growth, which makes them much easier to clean and maintain compared to traditional concrete pools. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and designs, and are known for their quick installation time and long-lasting durability.
Fibreglass pools are designed to withstand cracking, weathering, and corrosion. Because of the flexibility of fibreglass, these pools are highly durable and can be installed in a wide range of locations, including areas with shifting soil or tough terrain.

Our fibreglass pools are made using a 10-point process that ensures strength and durability. Here’s a quick overview:
Mould Creation: The pool is shaped using a precise mould based on your design.
Gel Coat: A smooth, colour-rich gel coat is applied as the first layer for a beautiful finish.
Resin & Reinforcement: Layers of vinyl ester and polyester resins, combined with woven roving, provide structural strength.
Honeycomb Core: A honeycomb layer adds extra durability while keeping the pool lightweight.
Curing: The pool is cured in an oven for added strength before being removed from the mould.
Trimming & Quality Check: The pool shell is trimmed, inspected, and passes a quality assurance check.
This process results in a durable, low-maintenance pool shell designed to last for years.
For many years, concrete pools were the most popular choice on the market. Nowadays fibreglass pools are more commonly found in Australian backyards. This is due to their fast installation times and less money and time needed to keep them running and clean. Fibreglass pools continue to be a popular choice as they are durable and affordable. A concrete pool is much more expensive to install and maintain. The interior surface of a concrete pool is porous making it the perfect breeding ground for algae and bacteria; therefore, it will require more effort and money spent on chemicals to keep it safe to swim in. Concrete pools also need to be resurfaced every 10 to 15 years which costs around $10,000.
Homeowners don’t just choose fibreglass because they are aesthetically appealing and quick to install, but because they are strong and durable and will last an extremely long time. Advances in fibreglass technology allow them to last for longer than their concrete counterparts. They will maintain their structure and their stunning appearance for more than 30 years. Our fibreglass shells surpass Australian and worldwide standards for thickness. They have been designed to withstand slight earth movements and won’t crack over the lifetime of your pool.
If everything goes to plan, your fibreglass pool can be installed in as little as 7 days. However, there are some variables that can lengthen the time it takes to install your pool, such as weather, stalled permit approvals and the condition of the site the pool is to be installed on. The average time it takes to install a fibreglass pool is from 7 days to 3 weeks.
To maintain a fibreglass pool, you will need to regularly test and add proper levels of sanitiser, shock the water with chlorine, balance pH levels, skim the surface for debris and leaves, brush the walls of the pool and vacuum it if necessary.
Fibreglass pools are generally easier to clean than other types of pools because they have smooth surfaces that don’t easily trap dirt. Regular skimming is usually enough to keep them looking clean.
We have small, medium and large pools, as well as family pools to choose from! We also have pool ranges that come in different sizes that you can select, based on how big (or small) you want the pool!
Our fibreglass pools are rectangular in shape, but the entry and exit steps vary, as well as the bench seating and the various pool & spa options!

Our fibreglass pools are constructed on a mould in a factory. The shells we use have a 10-point process when they are manufactured. The initial layer is an advanced colour technology gel coat, then a layer of the highest quality vinyl ester resin, followed by polyester resin, woven roving, structural honeycomb, and then a final layer. It is then cured and extracted from the mould. Lastly, it’s trimmed and goes through a quality assurance check.
